I am traveling to Montreal next month with a challenging group of eaters. One person is gluten-free (Celiac's disease). Another is vegetarian. Another is allergic to nuts which makes certain ethnic restaurants (e.g., Indian) risky. The rest of the group are foodies who will eat anything. While our eating habits are at odds, we hope we can actually find some restaurants that will please everyone :)
I have found lists of all-vegetarian and vegan restaurants (e.g., Aux Vivres, Lola Rosa) which sound great and we will try. But I'm also looking for a few nicer restaurants for dinner with a solid selection of vegetarian, gluten-free and carnivorous options. I want to accommodate the folks with dietary restrictions while not making the rest of the group feel like they are missing out on Montreal's amazing dining scene.
We are staying in the Plateau Mont-Royal area but would be willing to travel for a great dining experience. Any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!!
