Hello all and thanks for reading my post. Here is my situation --
I will be visiting NYC over Halloween weekend and am looking for a wonderful gastronomic experience. However (there's always a disclaimer) I don't want to be required to hack off my right arm and left big toe to pay for the experience. I'm thinking somewhere in the $100 - $150 per person (with wine) range. I'd be willing to go up to $175 if it was an exceptional value. My background - I've spent time as an apprentice slash 'let me figure out if I want to go to cooking school'-person in the best restaurant in Seattle, Mistral. Now of course, anyone is welcome to disagree with me about Mistral, but that's an entirely different post and let's just stay on the topic, shall we? So anyway, here's some ideas I've been able to collect on my own --
Bouley (because my chef worked there for 2 years)
I don't even know if those 4 are in my price range or not, just ideas right now. Anyway, with all that said... what are your suggestions?
