Restaurant on East 1st Street, near Prune?

Nancy | Apr 17, 2006 09:36 AM

Greetings from DC - BF and I will be visiting my hometown in a few weekends. I've been removed so long, and my mother will only eat at one restaurant, that I am stymied in trying to find a place for us for Friday night. Last time we were there, we ate at Prune (and enjoyed our meal) but walked by another restaurant on the same block. Tiny, charming interior, packed to the gills. We were intrigued but never got the name. Does anyone know what this restaurant was, if it's still there, or if it is worth our while?

In the alternative, looking for a fun, innovative meal in the NoHo area for a Friday night. Prefer Italian (the traditional, not fancy, kind - none exists in DC that I can find) or just good American.

Thanks in advance for your help.
