between 1st and 2nd aves in the middle of the block. formerly a run-of-the-mill, neighborhood italian with a large menu and mid-range prices. now smaller menu, more ambitious, mediterranean-ish cuisine, also pricier. improved decor. I've had some nice small plates and the house salad while sitting in the bar area (a trout in potato crust thing was very good). has anyone else sampled any main courses or other food?
