I am trying to find a restaurant that we ate at about 15 years ago that we could see from I-49 just north of Lafayette, LA. I recall that it was somehow related to Paul Prudhomme; perhaps had his name in the restaurant name. My recollection was that it was on the east side of the road. We ate something called an eggplant bateaux (not sure of my French spelling; means boat.) It was wonderful!
Anyone know what the place is and where it is? We will be driving that way on 5 July and again pass by on 7 July.
Of course, if anyone has suggestions for a "don't miss this one" place on a route down I-49, across I-10 from Lafayette to Mobile, then up I-65 to Dothan/Enterpise, AL
We eat and love all cuisines: seafood, Mexican, BBQ, country, you name it.
Thanks for your suggestions
