OK...coming to Manhattan for several days. Two of which will be spent helping a couple of coworkers find food in the evening.
Me: Looking for great food, unique place, mid-price
Them: Looking for TGI Fridays
You: Incredible local chowhounders. Help me lead them to "mainstream", NO RESERVATIONS NECESSARY, not-too-expensive food. Any location between Central Park and Battery Park. Places that have "something for everyone".
Places like Joe's Shanghai, Katz's, Corner Bistro, McHale's, Vittorio Ristaurante...that kind of stuff. I know a few, but I need to have a good solid list (so if they say they want Italian food in the Village I can take them somewhere as though I have a clue).
Thanks in advance!!!
p.s. - kebab carts and the like are fair game, so if you think one is out of this world, throw it in, but whatever you recommend, please give the location!
