It's that time of year again, when last minute slackers like me scramble for Thanksgiving possibilities. Holiday take-out from Whole Foods and Bristol Farms has been dissapointingly bland in years past, so I'm looking for another turkey option. I have one caveat-I'm the only turkey lover in my household, so it would be great to find a place that offers Thanksgiving with other choices.
I love the idea of a Thanksgiving picnic with fried turkey and barbeque ribs, and read that Dr. Cecil's does deep-fried turkey and all the fixings on Thanksgiving. I'm wondering about (a) the tastiness of their fried turkey, fixings, and usual offerings like ribs, (b) how well it travels (I'm around LaBrea and Beverly), and (c) the price of the whole shebang.
Any opinions on Dr. Cecil's offerings or advice on other turkey-day options are extremely appreciated!
