Thanks many for your kind recs RE: food in Rochester.
Given that I was visiting relatives, we didn't eat out as much as I otherwise would have. Still, we sampled:
- Michaels: Pretty solid food, though admittedly nothing to write back home. Deep fried mushrooms were a pleasant surprise (they were real crisp inside, almost raw), and the main dishes (filet mignon and prime rib) were tasty.
- Jasper's: The soups were truly excellent, the rest of the meal was forgettable.
- Redwood Room: Probably my favorite meal. Quite good food - even if I found the atmosphere a tad too loud for my taste, but oh well, I am like that.
