Report: Roast pig at Boucherie Capitol

So I'm wandering through Jean-Talon Market, and I head into Boucherie Capitol for some "shar-koo-tuh-ree". I decide to pick up some sausages for a pasta, when I see a gigantic roast pig sitting on the counter! Skin and all. The kind man behind the counter offers me a piece to try. It is delicious! Mild porky flavour, ham-like, but meatier and less salty than ham. It is tender and moist, with a mild fennel taste. We had it for lunch cold, with a nice whole-seed mustard, an interesting lemon ginger zucchini marmalade, olives and some cocktail tomatoes. We got three thick slices for $20, and we only managed to eat one for lunch, so it isn't badly priced. And it is very fun to watch the man pick up the whole thing and throw it around the counter.
