Report on Rain

I was dragged to Rain this past Sat night for dinner with friends. I say dragged because I hadn't heard great things about this place and usually prefer asian food at better and more authentic places. However, my friends love this place and wanted to go.

Simply put, I think this place is over priced for what you get. We started with the chicken satay and spring rolls. Not bad but not great. For our entrees we had the crispy whole fish, seared tuna special, pad thai and chicken with green curry. The tuna had no taste, and the pad thai was a suprisingly small portion and no better than you would expect. The fish was good and so was the chicken. The chicken is basically the same thing as the satay, except with a different sauce and add $10. I would love to get the recipe for their green curry sauce if anyone has it. It goes really well with the grilled chicken. Though its green, the curry is overpowered by a sweet coconut taste. Since I love coconut, I really enjoyed it.
