Renton's new Malay joint

ira sacharoff | Dec 23, 200310:14 PM     2

Renton has a new Malay restaurant, the Malay Kitchen, on the Maple Valley Hwy, just past the Renton Community Center in the complex housing Classics Tavern.
I've now tried it twice, and came away impressed both times. I love Malay Satay Hut, and although this place has a smaller menu, the food is in the same league. Roti canai bread to die for, belachan string beans, an amazing pork chop..and prices which are ridiculously low.
The location is one of those seemingly jinxed locales. A couple of years ago the place housed Chuy's Tacos, which featured wild salmon tacos, and later a Vietnamese place.
Hopefully this time the jinx has been lifted.
