Renaisa in Miami

George | Aug 5, 2003 10:56 PM

We have just spent our second very enjoyable evening at Renaisa, an Indian restaurant in Little River, Miami. Excellent food and friendly service in this family enterprise. Mulligatawny soup is spicy. Benigan Bartha is an appetizer of grilled eggplant with onion, cilantro, and chili. Unusual and tasty. Onion naan is served with three different chutneys: tamarind, onion, and coriander. My wife says the Tandoori chicken is the best version she has had. Chicken Karahi is not familiar to me from other Indian menus. It is cooked in an iron wok and served with tomatoes, cumin, and other spices. Their curries are very good. Address is 620 NE 78sth St., Miami, just off Biscayne Blvd. No atmosphere but it is on the Little River. Parking right next to the restaurant. Hope you chowhounds try it. Let me know what you think.
