Removing Excess "Seasoning"

I just got some old second-hand All-Clad pans, a mix of Cop-R-Chef and Stainless. They've been horribly abused, and have some serious cooked-on deposits of vegetable oil -- far beyond what Bar Keeper's Friend will deal with in the usual manner. What's a good way to get that oil off?
