is your steam oven the ‘best thing ever!!' and used frequently
a complicated, hard-to-maintain appliance that is not worth the expense & trouble, as steaming is easily done on the stovetop with a couple of good steaming pans (as my husband thinks)?
I am an avid and enthusiastic cook and love to entertain; I don't mind a steep learning curve on new tools. I initially decided NO on the steam oven when I ordered the Miele appliances:
* a "tower" of ovens (Speed Oven, Conventional, Warming Drawer)
* a range top with griddle
But I keep wondering about adding a Miele steam oven.
Did you buy a steam oven, and are you glad you did? Was it worth the expense?
Any advice, especially from people who decide to take (or not take) that leap. Thanks!!
