Remember How Exciting Fried Shrimp were as a Kid?

Remember how exciting fried shrimp were as a kid? (at least for me they were!)

If you're like me, fried shrimp no longer excite you the way they once did, and probably the last time you had them was on a Po' Boy.

Was coming back from d UP eh? on 90 and stopped at Joe's Goose Island Shrimp House on Rockton Ave, south of Riverside in Rockford. This is the son of the owner of Joe's on Division (just east of the Kennedy) in Chicago.

Like Father Like Son, the JUMBO fried shrimps gave me the same food rush that I had as a kid! TRULY AWESOME!!

I can not urge anyone enough to get a lb. of the jumbos! You will not be disappointed.

A buddy of mine used to work by the original Joe's in Chicago. We were let in the back, it was nice to see that there is no pre-breading, Every order is made fresh. The oil was extremely clean, considering the amount of seafood they fry.

Some people like the crab cakes, I haven't tried them, just can't pull myself away from the jumbo shrimp.
