Just back from Rehoboth!

My wife and I just spent a long, 4-day weekend and, I’m happy to report, had mostly very good restaurant experiences. The best place for us was Catcher’s at 249 Rehoboth Ave. My wife had some kind of pasta with cream sauce and I ordered the Prime Rib for $17.95. The menu said it weighed 12 ounces, but I swear it was at least a pound. It was boneless and had very little fat, a rarity these days. It was superb; one of the best prime ribs I’ve had in years. For dessert we had the Chocolate Peanut Butter pie, which was an absolute knockout. I heartily recommend Catcher’s.

We were also impressed with the lunch served by the Rehoboth Deli and Sub Shop. I had a 6” Philly Cheese Steak, on the rolls they import from Philadelphia. Very tasty. The best item was the Brocolli Bites that my wife ordered. They were the best version of this dish we’d ever tasted, and a bargain at $4.50 (IIRC).

Also recommended is the SummerHouse at 228 Rehoboth Ave., across from City Hall, where I their delicious Twin Filets. Fairly cheap, but I don’t recall the exact price. Service and ambiance were excellent, too. We also ate at the restaurant in the Atlantic Sands (Atlantic Seafood Co.?) which has very good food at reasonable prices.
