Need help with rehearsal dinner in DC

TimmyP | Oct 31, 2005 12:52 PM

I'm planning a rehearsal dinner in DC for next June. The main problem I've come across: we have a ton of out of town guests, and it looks like we need to plan for around 90 people for dinner. This seriously limits our options.

I have spoken with a number of restaurants in town that can't accomodate a party our size without shutting down their restaurant (for $15k). I've also talked to some hotels, but I would prefer the atmosphere of a restaurant/bar.

Right now the lead option is Sea Catch, which seems less than ideal. The food is fine. The atmosphere is ok. But, they would be putting us in 2 adjacent rooms (connected by a doorway), and it doesn't seem that private. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
