Regular Menu for New Year's

Meredith | Dec 19, 200505:22 PM     6

I rarely like going out to dinner on New Year's Eve or Valentine's Day because I always wind up feeling as though if I had waited one day, I could have had a much better meal for a much lower price so I cook on NYE instead.
This year my date really seemed to want to do a dinner out of some kind, so I tried to think of restaurants that do not turn into a $100 prix fixe place simply because the date is December 31st. Or places that double or triple their prices for the same reason.
I was pleased to call House of Prime Rib (it seemed unlikely to me that they would have a change) and Aziza and find out they were offering their normal menu. Aziza is also going to offer a 7 course chef's menu but in addition to the regular menu. To be honest, they are likely to get me on the 7 course menu, but I really wanted to find a place that wouldn't force me into such a thing.
If anyone can think of more, please let me know.
