regional Mexican food

I'm craving Mexican food from other parts of Mexico than the north. In other words I'm tired of things like burritos and enchiladas and other sauce and cheese drenched tortillas and beans.

I want food from Oaxaca, the Yucatan, etc., things like pollo pibil and huevos mutelanos (sp?).

I've tried the Yucatec restaurant on Geary off Van Ness, but the chicken was cooked to the texture of shoe leather and the beans were dull and the tortillas were from a package.

Is there anyplace in the Bay Area for good central/southern Mexican food?
