Regional hot dog showdown

ararebit | Nov 29, 201407:10 AM     15

I'm sitting in O'Hare airport and devoured a Chicago dog for breakfast (from Reggio's). I love the way the vinegar and the fresh crunch of all the vegetables offsets the rich salt of the hot dog. I've had Sonoran and New York dogs, Fenway Franks and chili dogs and Polish sausage and Italian sausage with peppers and onions and kielbasa and enjoyed them all, but I think the Chicago style just may be my favorite.

When I'm at home in Massachusetts, I like to get my Chicago dogs at the Boston Hot Dog Company in Salem, MA.

What's your favorite? Why do you like it? And where do you go to get it?
