The New Regime @ Picket Fence

I'm curious what others who've tried Picket Fence under the new owners think. It seems like the food is the same--for better or worse--which makes sense, as I gather the kitchen staff is the same. It actually seems like they might be using less salt than before, which would be fab.
My one complaint is that the couple who own the place seem to camp out every night at a table toward the back nibbling crackers. It's very strange and hard to explain, but for some reason, it rather infuriates me. I guess i'm thinking they should be up on their feet taking care of everybody--or perhaps it's the notion that they appear to have thrown in the towel on ever filling up the place.
Is it just me or is that cloying and annoying?
