The tastiest piece of meat I've had this year deserves its own thread.
The Bowery Steak ($54) is at the Bowery Meat Company, a new modern steakhouse on you guessed it.. East 1st Street.
It arrives in all its 8 ounce glory seating on creamy mash potatoes and topped with some salsa verde. But once you dig in you notice its not your usual steak.
The best part of the Ribeye, the flat Ribeye Cap is taken out and spiral-rolled into this Hockey Puck shape. The result is a well marbled piece that is perfectly cooked, very tender, and is extremely flavorful.
On the pricey side, but on par with all the tomahawks and cote de boeufs out there
