Red Arrow Diner, Manchester NH

Had a great meal there yesterday. A cheeseburger melt on grilled rye w/ sauteed onions. Makes me think of those Friendly's patty melts but better. Choice of many sides, I picked hash browns since they're so hard to find in this area but the fries looked hand cut. Everything looked pretty good, they even have biscuits w/ sausage gravy. Coconut cream pie crust was better than the filling but not bad for $2.99. Definitely would like to try more things but who knows when I'll be in Manchester again.

Also stopped at the Dream Diner in Tyngsboro on the way up for a single sweet potato pancake. Pretty good but the other pancakes looked a little anemic and the omelettes were very thin. They make 4 at a time so who knows how many eggs go into each one, not more than 2 for sure. Very friendly people there but not a 'real' diner and not worth a special trip.
