Recs for Good High End Snooty Places...

catsmeow | Nov 1, 2009 07:56 AM

My bro and sis in law are coming in Feb and are really into dining at high end but good places for dinner. They use to live in Boston and have been to L'Espalier as well as Locke Ober... just after Lydia Shire took over(none of us were impressed). I am taking them to O Ya. Most of my friends aren't into that style of dining, so I don't frequent restaurants with high end atmospheres. I know from reading Chowhound where hounds love the food. Now, where would the food be good and the atmosphere be very upscale. When in NY, they love Jean George(I did too...especially the foie gras brulee) as well as Per Se. If money is no object, where would you take them? When they lived here, the Baytower Room use to be one of our favs until the food went downhill (and then it went under). It should be in the Boston area or close to it. Thanks for your help.
