My father is coming for a short visit in May and loves places with a history, memorabilia, etc... He is not a very adventurous eater (hates mexican and indian food, but eats sushi). Basically an all-american meat-n-potatoes guy who grew up on a farm and likes to hunt and fish. Would like to think of some fitting places to take him for dining.
Thinking about Tadich Grill for dinner and also a drink at Heinhold's First and Last Chance Saloon in Oakland (to see Jack London's cabin). Any other recommendations in Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, or SF to grab a bite in between sight-seeing?
