This is our first visit to Whistler and we love good food. Searching online we got very mixed reviews. We were told about this place by a waiter in another restaurant we went to: Alta Bistro and tonight we had the most amazing meal there. The ingredients are fresh and local and the menu is inspiring and different.
The squid and fennel appetizer was delicate and delightful. The prawn, smoked tuna and scallops on toast exploded in flavor on your tongue. For the main corse the black bison short rib was succulent and flavorful and the duck breast with chamomile and blood orange jam magical.
The cocktails ( we tried out a new one and an old favorite) are very good and the wine list is mainly local. We told our waiter what we like and he picked a great wine from Okanagan that worked so well with our meal.
All in all this is one of the best meals we have had in a long time and worth every dollar.
