A combination of SE Asian food and tiki-ish cocktails is a concept with obvious appeal to me. This is a friendly neighborhood joint with a congenial vibe. IIRC it was founded in 2018 by a Australian inspired by past backpacking adventures (not certain about that part). I tried the house special mai tai, which was good enough, a tad too sweet for me (but this is hardly unexpected). I had "Hokkien Wok Noodle...Yellow wheat noodle, pork shoulder, shrimp, squid, egg, sprout, tomato sambal fish sauce," which struck me as a nice compromise between a couple of Singapore hawker stall stalwarts - char kway teow and mee goreng. Very nice. I also had the green papaya salad and "Thịt Nướng - Caramelized Pork Fresh Roll", both of which were good enough, if smaller in portion that one could find for an equivalent price at Thai or Vietnamese joints in the vicinity. I'd like to go back after the pandemic lifts.
