All the hummus posts got me thinking about preparing various dips or spreads to go with toasted pita to serve as hors d'oeuvres.

One of my favorites is a walnut pesto, with toasted walnuts, olive oil, roasted garlic, parsley, and parmasan cheese. This works better with a baguette type of bread rather than pita.

Anyone like to share their favorite recipes for dips and spreads?
