Recipes for Pretzel Bites

I guess I have led a sheltered life. I found these surfing the web and had never heard of such a thing.

I thought it might be fun to collect a bunch of recipes for pretzel bites.

Usually these are candies made with store bought pretzel squares like Hanovers, but there are some very sofisticated ones where you make your pretzels and add stuff.

Does anyone want to contribute? I will start with a few.

Chocolate Caramel Pecan Pretzel Bites.

Take caramel-filled chocolate candy and place it on a square pretzel. Then put a whole pecan on top of the candy. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cook them for about 4 minutes. When I pull them out of the oven, I push the pecan down into the candy, then put them in the refrigerator for a little while to let them harden again.

Square Pretzels
Parchment Paper

Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place a single layer of pretzels at least an inch apart.
Place a Rolo on top of each pretzel.
Bake in oven for about two minutes. When Rolo's are slightly melty, remove from oven.
Place a pretzel on top of each and push down slightly.
Allow to cool in refrigerator until completely hard, about 30 minutes.
Before serving, bring pretzel bites back to room temperature. Make sure and do this or the center of the Rolo's will be quite chewy.
Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Oreo Cheesecake Pretzel Bites

7 Oreo Cookies
1 oz cream cheese
24 square pretzels
1 Cup chocolate chips, melted
White Sprinkles

1. Place Oreos into a food processor and process until finely ground. Mix Oreo crumbs and cream cheese until dough forms. Pinch 1 Tablespoon of dough and form into a little square. Place onto pretzel then gently press top pretzel to close. Top with melted chocolate and white sprinkles. Chill until chocolate has hardened and serve.
