Recipe for "Hang Chow" spare ribs?

I grew up eating Chinese food at Chan's Garden in Dunellen, NJ. Forty years later I still vividly remember a dish they had called Hang Chow Spare Ribs. They were small pieces of pork rib, very sweet, a little spicy -- and judging from the yellow fingers I used to have after eating them -- made with curry. I've been looking for a recipe off and on for a couple years now, and reading up on the cuisine of the Hangzhou region of China, but haven't nailed it yet. Is anyone familiar with this dish?
