Recipe board at work -- please offer suggestions on themes

Some of my lovely work colleagues wanted to start up a recipe board, where we could post deliciousness, but it fell by the wayside before it got started. I'd like to try starting it up this weekend. I'm bringing my Black-Eyed Pea Dip and Sausage-Stuffing Bites to eat, and will also post the recipes.

Everyone will be invited to offer a favorite recipe for the month's theme. These will be on the board to photocopy and will be collected in a binder at the end of each month. (There was a cookbook produced maybe 7-8 years ago, not a successful venture. This is more informal.)

Here's my seat-of-the-pants proposed schedule so far (mind you, we're in Texas, so I'm trying to tailor to our produce/weather/holidays):

January -- Roasts, Casseroles, Hearty Dishes
February -- Stews/Chilis/Soups, Breads, Crackers
March -- Cabbage, Slaws,
April -- Spring Salads, Spinach,
May -- Summer Squash, Strawberries
June -- Tomatoes, Corn, Grill, Light Desserts
July -- Light Summer Fare, Refreshing Drinks, More Grill
August -- Sandwiches, Make-ahead Lunches, Fruit Desserts
September -- Apples, Pears,
October -- Pumpkins/Squash, Fun Halloween Dishes
November -- Holiday Cookies/Desserts, Hors' D'oeveurs
December -- Dips, Turkey and Ham Leftovers

All a work in progress, so please, I ask if you have any thoughts/changes/suggestions on themes please post; also corrections on produce availability, etc. No one at work will mind if anyone posts a recipe outside the theme. Morale is kinda low so some of us are trying to support any way we can, and we all love food and have some great cooks. :)
