Need advice for a dinner I'm having tomorrow night with a non-chowhound older relative I don't see very often. I need a place that when he gets back to Long Island, he can tell a story about to his buddies at the club.
I'm looking for a place that is either "WASHINGTON" or that has very good Italian or French food - if it's both, that's even better. I'm just not up to a mediocre meal at an overrated restaurant just because it's a famous DC place.
I was thinking of a drink at the rooftop of the Hotel Washington and then maybe dinner at Galileo, price isn't really the problem, finding the right place is.
