We will be having an in-house wedding in early June; maybe 80 people. It will be a cocktail reception, stand-up, finger food. We are looking for a caterer which will be nice, elegant, etc., but don't need over-the-top. We are looking to keep price reasonable, say $50 or so p.p. for food cost, plus serving pieces etc., if possible. We want to do better than Cosco, but obviously Susan Gage and Design Cuisine are not on our radar screen.
Does anyone out there have any experiences/recommendations along these lines? A non-traditional approach might be OK, but heavy ethnic is probably not feasible.
