Just returned from Santa Fe and am having incredible chile withdrawal. Does anyone know of a place in NYC where one can find good chile? To clarify - I'm not talking about chili (w/ meat, beans, and such), but red or green (preferably nice, spicy, smokey red) chile - the ubiquitous sauce of the Southwest.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm quite familiar w/ most of the Mexican options in New York, but have never really come upon New Mexican cuisine here (sopaipillas would be another desired food stuff!!).
