Hi 'Hounders - Yes! I'm back in ABQ for a weekend and fine business dining is out this trip thank G*D!
This weekend is all early lunches (read: whenever we wake up) and later dinners (as a base for the good cocktailin'!
My pal in tow is from NYC so he's just thrilled to be here - and I've been doing the reading on this site and Gil's and Alibi so I can really sample this town's best eats. And of course now I'm totally confused.
We know we want really authentic local eats. I have been to The Shed and Maria's and other great local restaurants in Santa Fe - but like I said this weekend is all about ABQ - somebody help me out with my confusion from too much on-line reading - how's this list?
Mary & Tito's?
The Burrito Lady?
Duran's? (I hear it has on again off again food - anyone know if it is currently on again?)
Any advice or suggestions I would be thrilled (skipping Mexican seafood as that is the one decent think we can do in L.A.).
So thanks in advance I'll follow up this post with comments - and y'all watch out for the bicoastal drunk foodies rocking the casbah this weekend (and don't worry we ain't dumb - we ain't drivin'! - though I may have to buy some new larger pants . . .
