Does *real* chocolate really exist?

Hello-- I wonder if what I'm looking for simply doesn't exist in today's mordern world.

I actually just returned from Belgium, and while I tasted some phenomenal chocolate there, I was disappointed to find out that most of the chocolate shops there in fact manufacture their chocolates in factories and ship them to the storefronts in the city center.

Do you remember the film a few years back called "Chocolat"? Ever since I saw that film, in the back of my mind I've wanted to taste *real* chocolate, like the woman who runs the chocolate shop in the film... made by hand, with roased and ground cacao beans instead of pre-made cocoa powder, and everything from scratch. No soy lecithin as an emulsifier, no chemicals, just... chocolate, plain and simple, to see what it tastes like in its most unadulterated form (milk/cream and sugar added are okay).

While the film focuses on Mexican spiced drinking chocolate, I would be happy to try 100% non-processed chocolate in any form I can find it in.

Suggestions?
