Hello fellow Chowhounds!
I've spent half my life in New England (MA/CT/VT) and the other half in the Midwest (Cleveland/Cincy/Indy). I have lived in Indy for 11 years. My folks, who now live in Cincy, were born and raised in New Haven, CT, so I know great coal-oven pizza. Some dishes my mom made when I was growing up in Cleveland and Somerset, Mass., included briscuit, filet of sole, steamed mussels, homemade pizza, fondue, and baked chicken (I can't seem to remember any others right now). My favorite foods and styles include pizza, fish (esp. salmon, perch, catfish, tuna), TexMex and authentic Mex, Greek/Mediterranean, Indian, Asian, red and 'white' meat, Caesar salads, and so many more.
Restaurants I've enjoyed include Something Different (before Chef Hanslits moved on), Yat's, Shapiro's, Three Sisters, The Abbey coffee house, The Precinct in Cincy, Pepe's in New Haven, Al's Frye's in Burlington VT, the Pete's family of places before they closed, and many more. I'm always open to new places, such as Formaggio's, which I hear has great pizza, for the Midwest.
