random ethnic lunches?

Jayask (NYC hound) | Feb 24, 2003 07:34 PM

I have a week or so of lunches to squeeze into a week of seeing the sights in DC. I'm looking for places to go myself (while my sweetie is working) via metro. We can leave the suburbs out of this since I've already hit a ton of Rockville and Fairfax joints

So...if you were going to recommend the best inexpensive ethnic joints in DC (itself)...which would they be? Malaysia Kopitiam and Meskerem I know and like. Jaleo I know and like as well...but I was looking for less expensive.

I'm open to all ethic cuisines, and regional American is fine as well if the places are really good. I'm not crazy about Capital Q.

I'm thinking inmexpensive as $10 or under lunches. That works in NYC...but tell me if I'm out of line for DC.

Thanks guys.
