I had the RF42 Special Miso Ramen with Sweet Egg, Chashu, Ground Pork and Nori with Green Tea Noodles. Small bowl of ramen but nicely fragrant. Flavor was good but not great.
Service was good and friendly, which means a good deal. And the condiments served on the little dish so that you could spice it up to your taste was a nice touch, though some of them seemed a bit wilted.
Anyone have any recommendations for a good bowl of ramen here? Maybe I will try the Tonkotsu or Shoyu version next time. I have been trying off and on to find a place that has a good ramen bowl at a decent price. Expecting both may be unrealistic, though.
How about other ramen spots in NoVA? I have tried Boru, Hanabi, Tachibana, Jinya and Gaijin, so there are quite a few I haven't gotten to yet, but none of them really tooted my horn, so to speak. Any ideas on NoVA ramen places that are both good and reasonably priced would be greatly appreciated!
I may have been spoiled by the $8 bowls of Thai beef noodle soup (the duck noodle is good too) at Bangkok 54's food mart. It is served in small red plastic bowls, which is hardly my favorite serving device, but for the price it is a bargain.
