Ralph's Ices, Forest Hills

Ralph's is not so good. This is one of quite a number of Ralphs (visit their website for tons of locations, and it has that corporate, mass produced quality and feel. Although this might be an unfair comparison, its no Lemon Ice King. They have napkins and spoons; they are twice as expensive ($1.50 for the small, compared to the 75 cents in Corona -- but this is fancy Austin Street); they have tons of different flavors (70 according to the sign); but the ices are icey. They fail to have that cold creaminess that good ices can achieve. The texture is what bothered me, and the fact that it would not melt, which made me suspicious. I had the very bright, almost Play-doh like (in texture and color) green pistachio ice which comes with almonds mixed in.

Has anyone else tried it?
