After reading fellow Chowhounds' previous posts, I'm pleased to report the honest-to-goodness Rajdhani experience was achieved yesterday.
We started with fresh fried vegetable samosas and the cilantro sauce accompaniment.
My luncheon partner (who is Trinidadian) keenly observed the similarities between the outstanding plain paratha bread and her own "roti bake" and the dal.
Shamsul (a super-friendly and -you could just tell! - experienced chef/proprietor, said to be from Tabla) made a strong rec on the chicken tikka...and it was as sophisticated and unlike any ever tasted at this town's top-flight tandoori palaces.
For 4 bucks, Rajdhani's luncheon special which included a spiced chicken curry was also a hands-down winner.
So much (or should I say not much!) for the atmosphere, just show me the chow!
