Picked up one of these handy-dandy doo-dads off eBay for $7.50 free shipping…
Well I am waiting for my “real knives” to be shipped back from California to Ohio I have picked up a hodgepodge of thrift shop gems & hand-me-downs for the interim. Average cost probably about 75¢ - $1. Most pretty dull... I wasn’t too invested in any one piece, so I gave this simple device ( unlike any other I have found on the market ) a shot and was rather impressed.
Far from being a complicated process with wet-stones, or large investment in an electronic sharpener, This gave all my knives a pretty great edge… Like even the saddest old dull dog that I found kind of rusted can shave arm hair off after 5 to 15 pulls.
I can’t really figure out what the magic is… Why it works so well… I don’t see anything else like this out there. And the people that love it absolutely love it. Anyone else try this?
