Ok, my (very picky and not-at-all chowhoundish)friend has asked me for help choosing a restaurant for his graduation dinner.
1) Saturday night
2) 5 people, one of whom is his 90 year old grandfather, so quiet is a MUST.
3) Under $40 a person for appetizer and entree (they DO NOT eat dessert, they DO NOT drink).
4) 2 people are fish-eating vegetarians.
5) NO ETHNIC ALLOWED
I've suggested many, many things. Blue Room is too noisy, Sage is too expensive. I thought Oleana would be perfect, and I gave him copies of 2 recent menus, but he "did not see much that he liked."
Frankly, I'm at my wit's end. I'm tempted to just bundle them all off to Olive Garden and hope they don't choke on the pre-fab food. Can anyone help me!? Please?
