I'll be in DC (staying in Georgetown at the Latham)in a couple of weeks, planning to meet up with a couple of friends from New England who will be in town for the weekend. They'll be staying in a friend's apt., but not sure where. Although I've been to DC numerous times, I'm usually eating off an expense account, so price is no object. As for my friends, they're not comfortable if they're paying over $30 each. One is also a vegetarian (but eats fish). Does anyone have a few recommendations for a place (doesn't matter if it's in Georgetown or DC proper) that will offer an excellent, quiet dinner, without fear of being rushed out? What about the Iron Gate...I heard that might be such a place????? All suggestions welcome!
