Returning from a long weekend in SPI & submitting a few comments for the record:
Had a full kitchen in condo rental so bought fresh shrimp @ Dirty Al's & ate @ home 1 night. Enjoyed the conversation w/ George @ the counter.
Ate @ Blackbeard's 1 night & thought the food was very good - had pan-fried snapper which was fresh, moist, well seasoned, & wonderful. Tasted husband's grilled tuna & it was very good & not overdone. French-fried onion rings good & fat, baked potato just right. Total meal ticket a little higher than what we pay here in San Antonio but not bad for fresh fish.
Visited the bakery (name?)next to the bead shop & brought a box full of sweet breads (danish, bearclaws, empanada, etc.) home for about $6.00 - cheap price for so much good, fresh stuff. Restaurants everywhere there - already have a list of places to try next time.
