Maine trip Sept 20-26, 2020

Just got back from my only Maine visit this year. Did more at-home eating than usual so the list is sort of random and not as long as usual. Here are a few words on each place I got food at:

The Clam Shack, Kennebunk: Solid lobster roll and fried clams. Pricy of course -- $46 for this snack.
Cushnoc Brewing, Augusta: Great pizza and beer.
Sandy Point Seafood, Augusta: Hefty lobster roll. No style points but good value; 8 oz of lobster meat for $24
Juliette's Bakery and Deli, Waterville: Not on the tourist trail, but a funky old source for sandwiches and baked goods in a very humble neighborhood. Huge chocolate chip cookie for $1.79. Bonus points for the "DEL-ERY" sign.
Bite Into Maine, South Portland: Nicely prepared lobster rolls in a beautiful setting.
Micucci's, Portland: The Sicilian Slice/Slab is as awesome as ever
Rose Foods, Portland: Very good bagels and excellent cream cheeses.
Hello Good Pie, Belgrade Lakes: Outstanding fruit pies with a truly outstanding crust.
Standard Baking Company, Portland: Fougasse, breads, and cookies as good as ever.
Wilbur's Chocolates, Freeport: Love this place. Huge selection. A pound of assorted chocolates for I think $21.95 is a great deal.
Shuck Station, Newcastle: Raw oysters from the Damariscotta River as fresh as is humanly possible.

Hopefully back to normal next year!
