Quick idea for tonight? Half pound of stew meat defrosting...

I was planning to make mushroom barley soup with beef. Only I just realized I forgot to buy carrots, and the last thing I want to do is go out again...
It's finally defrosted and I don't want to leave it sitting in the fridge-
Any thoughts of what I can do with it? 1/2lb. of grass fed stew meat from WF - very lean.
Open to any ideas-
