One recent weekend, after failure to get into Prune (packed at 6pm!!) we saw this small restaurant across the street. Nice decor, friendly staff. Apparently opened for over 1 year, serving E European food. Absolutely empty.
Turned out the food was excellent! Best dish was the Pierogie with veal. Light thin wrappers, fillings like very good bratwurst. Borsch was tasty if a bit thin. Braised beef with potato pancake (special) was really tender and well spiced, and the potato pancake was sublimely light and flavourful.
Not being entirely familiar with E European cuisine, I wonder how other hounds with more experience think of Quhnia?
