A few questions from a newcomer

Chicago transplant needs help finding food. | Sep 3, 200303:11 PM     9

Hi! I just moved to Los Angeles area from Chicago. There are a few things I have been unable to find here that they have in Chicago. Any pointers would be appreciated.

1) Chihuahua cheese -- I need this for cooking quesedillas. In Chicago, it would come in a white bag with red lettering shredded. Any pointers on where to find this?

2) Good tortilla chips. They had a brand in Chicago called El Milagro that had thick very tasty tortilla chips made with a touch of lime. They were manufactured locally -- so I doubt I'll find them here. Does anyone have a particularly tasty alternative they know of?

3) Indian Food -- I have tried 3 places and been dissapointed with each. Now I am looking for recommendations. I guess I am used to the kind of Indian food you would find on Devon in Chicago, but any place that is tasty and spicey (North of South Indian) would be good!

4) Vienna Beef -- Any hot dog places that carry Vienna Beef in LA?

Your responses are appreciated.

Thanks!
