Questions Marrakesh on Ventura

beopenguin | Feb 28, 2006 04:14 PM

So I finally made it out to the Moroccan place Marrakesh on Ventura last night. Personally, it seemed like pointless theme point (ie knights jousting) with a very pricey tab. Now, I don't mind all of that, but for a 50 dollar check I ate basically an appeitzer. I've had friends tell me that got more than they can eat, but we hardly got anything. There was about a spoonful of rice for each person at the table. (6 people). Everybody left very hungry getting a small taste of all the courses. Is this typical or should try this place again later? Is the food worth it? The only thing I got to even try was the meat pie and one piece of lamb. It seemed tasty, but really, for a 300 dollar tab, I don't expect a group of people to be a Jerry's afterwords to actually eat.
